A Customer Story: How We Completed a Critical Rework Before Chinese New Year

In international trade, unexpected challenges are sometimes unavoidable. What truly defines a reliable supplier is not whether problems occur, but how quickly and effectively they are resolved. Recently, we experienced a real customer story with a Brazilian client that once again proved our commitment to customer-first service and professional execution.

This Brazilian customer is a long-term partner and a wholesaler(批发商) in their local market, mainly distributing melamine tableware(密胺餐具). The order volume was large, and the products were scheduled to be shipped before the Chinese New Year, which is a particularly sensitive and critical time for manufacturing and logistics in China.

During the final inspection of the bulk order, the customer discovered a serious issue: the barcodes on the products did not match their system requirements. Due to internal reasons on the customer’s side, the barcode information provided earlier was incorrect. However, barcodes are extremely important for wholesalers and retailers, especially for warehouse management, customs clearance, and downstream distribution. This meant the goods could not be shipped as they were.

The only solution was rework(返工) — and not partial, but a complete rework of the barcode labeling. Under normal circumstances, such a problem can be managed smoothly. However, this time the challenge was much greater. The Chinese New Year was approaching, and most factory workers had already started returning to their hometowns. Production capacity was extremely limited, and time pressure was immense.

Despite these difficulties, we did not hesitate. Upholding the principle of “customer first,” we reacted immediately. First, we asked the customer to resend the correct barcode data as quickly as possible. At the same time, our design team worked overnight to complete the new layout and confirm all technical details, ensuring that no further errors would occur.

Since our regular factory workers were unavailable, we made a decisive move: we urgently mobilized external resources. We recruited temporary workers from outside, coordinated with local labor agencies, and arranged emergency staffing. Our management team immediately developed a detailed rework plan, covering workflow, quality checkpoints, and daily output targets.

To ensure efficiency and consistency, training(培训) became a crucial step. Before rework officially started, our supervisors conducted fast but thorough training sessions for all temporary workers. They were trained on product standards, barcode placement accuracy, inspection methods, and packaging requirements. Every worker clearly understood that this task was not just about speed, but about delivering high quality and stable output(保质保量).

During the rework process, our management team stayed on-site throughout the entire operation. Quality control checks were carried out at every stage to prevent secondary mistakes. Even under extreme time pressure, we refused to compromise on quality. For us, protecting the customer’s brand reputation is just as important as protecting our own.

Thanks to clear planning, effective training, and strong execution, the results exceeded expectations. In just four days, we successfully completed the full rework, meeting all quality standards and shipment requirements. The goods were shipped on time, right before the Chinese New Year holiday.

After receiving the products, the customer expressed high satisfaction and appreciation. They acknowledged not only the final result, but also our attitude, responsiveness, and sense of responsibility. This positive feedback further strengthened our cooperation and mutual trust.

This experience once again proves that in the melamine tableware(密胺餐具) industry, a reliable supplier is not just a manufacturer, but a true partner. For every wholesaler and customer we work with, we are willing to take responsibility, overcome difficulties, and deliver solutions — even in the most challenging moments.
